Local checks
Keystrokes, mouse events, gamepad data, audio and video are processed on your device. The verification code does not send them to the Calcomera server. Do not enter passwords into the work area: one key is enough to check.
The microphone recording and camera frame are saved to a file only based on your action. The temporary recording lives in the tab's memory. The stop button releases the camera and microphone; maximum session - 60 seconds.
Network measurements
For network tests, the browser connects to our server. The server receives the IP, technical parameters of the request and test data. The WebRTC session stores the numbers of received messages in memory until completion or no more than two minutes. Request limiters keep the IP in memory for five minutes; cleaning is performed once per minute. The application does not save IP history or user traffic content to a database.
The report downloads in the browser and contains conditions and results, but does not automatically include the public IP. The hosting infrastructure can maintain technical logs of the server owner's settings.
Browser history
Up to 15 summaries of the latest checks are stored in localStorage under the signal-history key. They are not sent to the server. You can clear your history in the directory or by deleting site data in your browser. The decision about optional cookies is stored under the signal-consent key.
Advertising and statistics
If the site owner has connected the Yandex Advertising Network or Metrica, they are loaded only after selecting “Allow all”. These third-party services may process technical identifiers and visit data according to their own rules. The web viewer and click map are disabled in our configuration. On the network test pages, the connection is delayed until the measurement is completed.
Selecting “Only necessary” keeps all checks working. You can change your selection using the “Cookie Settings” button at the bottom of the page. If third-party services are not configured, their code will not load.
Feedback
For a question about data use project contacts. Do not send passwords, audio recordings of conversations, or personal documents. A description of the problem and the page address is enough.
