Short answerCheck exactly the problematic combination in the same order as in the game. The maximum number of any keys pressed does not describe all possible combinations.

Check the combination that interferes

In the game, jumping stops working when moving diagonally. Pressing ten random keys is not enough: the limit may depend on specific positions in the matrix. Write down the problem buttons, such as W, D, and Space, and the order in which you press them.

Click on the test area, hold down the first two buttons and add a third. See if it appears on the map and if the number of simultaneously held keys increases.

Make comparisons in both orders

Repeat the combination, starting with another key. Then replace one button with the adjacent one. This simple experiment can show that the limit applies to a specific combination and not to the total number of clicks.

Check and release. If the key remains illuminated after releasing, first move the focus to another area and repeat. Losing focus, the system menu, and hotkey interception can interrupt the flow of events.

Why doesn't the browser see everything?

System key combinations may be processed by the operating system before the page. F-keys and browser combinations sometimes open built-in functions. Tab and Escape are left to exit the workspace, so this test does not intentionally lock the entire keyboard.

The presence of three illuminated keys does not certify the NKRO mode, and the absence of one system combination does not prove a bad matrix. For hardware specifications, see the manufacturer's documentation and their own testing conditions.

If the problem is confirmed

Check the available connection modes and gaming profile of the device. For some models, the behavior depends on the selected mode, but you should not change the firmware without instructions specifically for your model. If the game allows you to reassign the problematic button, check the alternative combination here, then in the game.

If the combination is displayed correctly in the test, but the action is not performed in the game, check the command bindings, control conflicts and overlays. If single clicks sometimes double, that's a different scenario: use bounce check.

Save the exact combination and sequence. This is more useful than the "keyboard supports only three buttons" conclusion from one example.
